HISTORY
- The Central New York Regional Peace Studies Consortium is one of the oldest ongoing peace studies organizations in the world, starting in 1985. The Consortium began by the efforts of a handful of professors and activists in the Central New York area who sought a forum to network, promote, and initiate discussion and scholarship on issues surrounding peace, nonviolence, and social justice inside and outside the academy.

MISSION STATEMENT
- The Central New York Peace Studies Consortium is an interdisciplinary scholarly based organization dedicated to promoting and advancing critical dialogue and research on the theory and practices of peace, conflict, and social justice through higher education.
GOALS
- To support, establish, and network with peace, conflict, and social justice studies programs, working groups, student organizations, research projects, and scholarly forums in higher education.
